Blue Light and Your Skin

Research shows blue light from electronic devices can lead to changes in your skin cells, including cell shrinkage and death. These speeds up the aging process. Even exposures as short as 60 minutes can trigger these changes.

Too much blue light could also lead to pigmentation. One study linked blue light exposure to more swelling, redness, and pigment changes in people with darker skin.

Blue light can cause inflammation and collagen degeneration. It can also cause skin aging, excess pigmentation, and other problems, according to some research. Although much remains to be studied and scientifically proven, the important thing is that we should protect our skin from this type of light as much as possible. (Source: cnet.com).
